Kaylee Barker

My name is Kaylee Barker and I am an 18yr old barrel racer, breakaway roper, and trap shooter. I have been riding for 5 almost 6 short years, but I strive to be my best at all times.  I grew up with a dad that had done rodeo when he was younger. My brother was a reserve champion Cutter at the age of 13 at his first show. He was the final reason I got into rodeo at the age 9. I have been riding horses ever since December of 2012. I won my first competition at the age of 9 at NAHA, I was 5th place in the 8-10 division. I have been a competitive rider ever since and I strive to be the best horsewoman I can possibly be.  I am an Honor Roll Student and a Sophomore at Camp Verde High School.

Goals:

  • I hope to go to Nationals/Worlds for NHSRA and place in any of my events.
  • I hope to inspire the younger generation of Cowboys and Cowgirls with the way I ride, the way I talk to people, and my attitude.
  • As I believe that is important for a role model to have!
  • I hope to open my own Performance Horse Business here once I finally click with my new gelding, as well as get certified to be a equine chiropractor and kinesiologist.
